InterGlobe faces ₹2.17 cr penalty over aircraft parts duty exemption denial, ET LegalWorld


InterGlobe Aviation Limited received a penalty of ₹ 2,17,38,160/- from the office of Principal Commissioner of Customs, Air Cargo Complex (Import), according to Interglobe’s exchange filing.

The matter relates to the Customs Officer denying the duty exemption on the import of Aircraft parts.

The Company is likely to appeal the order before an appropriate authority. “The Company is in the process of contesting this Order before the appropriate appellate authority,” the Company said.

The order was received at InterGlobe’s corporate office in Gurgaon on a non-working day i.e. Saturday, January 4, 2025.

The disclosure to the exchange was made under disclosure under Regulation 30 of SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.
