This petition is filed by the petitioner U/s.166
of Motor Vehicle Act, claiming compensation of
₹.8,00,000/- for the damages caused to the Car
bearing Regn.No.KA-05-MH-4496 in road traffic
accident, which took place on 16.11.2022. The
compensation is sought against respondent No.1 & 2,
who are the insurer and owner of Cement Mixer Lorry
bearing Regn.No.KA-05-AG-2360, which caused the
accident.
2. The case of the petitioner in brief is that
on 16.11.2022 at about 12.30 p.m., when the
petitioner was driving Car bearing Regn.No.KA-05-MH-
4496, near Chikkabeguru Gate, Hosuru Main Road,
Bengaluru, a Cement Mixer Lorry bearing Regn.No.KA-
05-AG-2360, driven by its driver at high speed in a
rash and negligent manner, dashed against the
petitioner’s car. Due to the accident, petitioner’s
car was fully damaged and spent a sum of
₹.5,00,000/- towards repair charges of car.
