Action star Suniel Shetty along with Vivek Oberoi, Sooraj Pancholi and Akanksha have come together for a real life epic war film about the famous Somnath temple in Gujarat. The film has been titled Kesari Veer and it delves into the inspiring tale of unsung warriors who fought and sacrificed their lives to protect the Somnath Temple from invaders in 14th century AD. Somnath temple has been looted and plundered around 17 times. All the actors would be seen in a never seen before avatar keeping with the times, and the characters they are portraying.

The film has been directed by Prince Dhiman, who earlier worked with Suniel Shetty on the web show Hunter Tootega Nahi Todega, and is produced by Kanu Chauhan of Chauhan Productions. The film has already been shot on a huge scale with lavish sets and recreated palaces and authentic action sequences. The makers have taken special interest in keeping the authenticity of the subject matter.
Sharing his passion for the project, Producer Kanu Chauhan expressed that the story was deeply personal to him and a dream he longed to bring this lesser-known chapter of history to light. Prince Dhiman described how the narrative moved him emotionally, sparking thorough research to ensure every detail reflects historical accuracy.
The film is slated to release next year.
