New Delhi: Two men were robbed of Rs 19 lakh at gunpoint in Nizamuddin on Tuesday. One of the victims told police that he was riding pillion with his colleague on a bike when they were blocked by two men on another motorbike near Link Road around 1.20 pm on Tuesday.
The robbers, wearing black helmets, attempted to snatch the bag containing cash that the duo had got from a trader in Chandni Chowk. When one of the victims, who was carrying the bag, resisted, one of the robbers threatened him with a pistol.
The robbers then kicked the bike, causing the duo to fall. The robbers stopped their bike, and one of them got off and snatched the bag at gunpoint.
The duo alerted police. Police are scanning CCTV footage to track the sequence of events.
