The Kapoor family is all set to mark the 100th birth anniversary of the iconic Raj Kapoor, and their excitement is palpable. During a recent meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the family invited him to join the grand celebration.
Now, a video from their interaction is quickly gaining popularity online, where, during a lighthearted photo session, PM Modi couldn’t resist teasing the Kapoor clan, adding a fun touch to the moment.

In a heartwarming video, the Kapoor family gathered with Prime Minister Narendra Modi for a photo session, celebrating the 100th birth anniversary of Raj Kapoor.
As Karisma Kapoor nervously remarked, “Look, I’m really nervous,” PM Modi playfully teased, “Kya aap log camera ke samne nai hote nervous?” triggering smiles from everyone.

The meeting took place at Modi’s residence in New Delhi, where Kareena Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Neetu Kapoor, and other family members were also present. The lighthearted moment quickly became a hit on social media.

Earlier, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Alia Bhatt, Karisma Kapoor, and other members of the Kapoor family shared photos from their meeting with PM Modi. They thanked him on social media for taking the time to meet them and for being part of the celebration of Raj Kapoor’s 100th birth anniversary.

Taking to Instagram, Alia shared photos from the meet. “Art is timeless. And sometimes to move forward, we must look back and learn. Mr. Raj Kapoor’s impact was truly global. He marked his footprint all across the world with the movies he made, the stories he told. Yesterday was such an honour to be invited by our respected Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji, to spend a lovely afternoon commemorating the life and legend of Mr. Raj Kapoor. Merely listening to his stories, makes me learn so much, and his legacy continues to inspire.”
The Kapoor family is celebrating the legacy of Raj Kapoor by hosting a special film festival showcasing 10 of his iconic films. The lineup includes some of his most famous works spanning nearly four decades, such as Aag (1948), Barsaat (1949), Awaara (1951), Shree 420 (1955), Jagte Raho (1956), Jis Desh Mein Ganga Behti Hai (1960), Sangam (1964), Mera Naam Joker (1970), Bobby (1973), and Ram Teri Ganga Maili (1985). This festival highlights Raj Kapoor’s enduring influence on Indian cinema.
