Dabur has received a total demand of ₹ 4.42 Cr from the Commissioner of Customs (Prev.), Patna.

The overall tax demand includes tax demand u/s 28(4) of the Customs Act, 1961 of ₹ 1.060rore with an Interest u/s 28AA as applicable and penalty u/s 114A & 114AA of ₹ 2.11 Crore with Fine u/s 125(2) of ₹ 1.25 Crore.

The order issued by Ld. Commissioner is related to IGST on the import of goods for the period from June, 2019 to April 2024.

The company is likely to challenge the order before the appellate tribunal. “There is no impact on the financial operations and other activities of the Company due to this order,” Dabur said in an exchange filing.

The company received the order on December 5, 2024.

The disclosure was made under Regulation 30 of SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.
