Irregularities were again seen in the results
After the city and centre wise results were released, many irregularities were seen in the results. Like, somewhere there are many toppers from the same centre and somewhere maximum number of students from a centre have scored more than 650 marks. Some students who failed in 12th have passed NEET. More than 5 percent students from a single centre in Kerala have scored more than 650 and 44 toppers have become toppers by getting grace marks. – NEET UG 2024
What is the point of the physics question
While hearing was going on on many petitions in the NEET case, a student raised a question on a Physics question. This petitioner says that the answer to a Physics question was option number 4 but NTA has also given grace marks to those who chose option number 2. This is because according to the old version of NCERT, answer number 2 would be considered correct but according to the new version of NCERT, answer number 4 would be considered correct.
Scores of many students changed
NTA has given marks to those who chose either option 2 or 4. Due to this, the scores of about 44 students have changed because they had chosen option 2. At the same time, some students who got confused after seeing both the options lost their marks because they did not even attempt the question.
SC sought answer
During the hearing, the Supreme Court said that when answer number 4 is correct in the new version, then answer number 2 which was based on the previous NCERT version should not have been given marks. To resolve the matter properly, the court has asked an expert panel from IIT Delhi to find a solution to this question. Today, a team of three expert panels will answer which of the two options is the most appropriate for this question.
Many candidates use old books
In this regard, it was also said in a petition that many poor students use old books, so they wrote the answer according to what they read, in such a case option two should also not be considered wrong. But in such a case, those candidates can raise the question that those who left the question in confusion as to how two answers can be correct, they should also get grace marks.
Will the result be released again
After considering the whole issue, the question arises again whether the NEET UG results will be released again. Today we will get the answer as to which option is correct and which is wrong. In such a situation, this question can change the result in any situation. Those who choose one of the two options, those who answer according to the old book or those who leave the question, some kind of candidate is affected by this question. Even if the question is dropped or everyone gets grace marks, the results will change. It will be clear in some time what answer the court gives in this matter.
