Heard learned counsel for the petitioner, learned A.P.P.
representing the State and learned counsel appearing on behalf of
the Opposite Party No. 2.
2. The petitioner apprehend his arrest in connection with
Vaishali Mahila Case No. 31 of 2025 registered for the offence
punishable under sections 341, 323, 498A, 504, 506, 34 of the
I.P.C. and Section ¾ of the Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961.
3. Both the parties have agreed that the matter may be
referred to the Patna High Court Mediation and Reconciliation
Centre for exploring the feasibility of amicable settlement of the
disputes between the parties.
4. Learned APP appears and concurs the stand of the
Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.37987 of 2026(3) dt.07-08-2026

parties.
5. In view of the submissions made by both the parties,
this Court finds it appropriate to send this case to Mediation
Centre, Patna High Court, and accordingly, the petitioner as well
as Opposite Party No. 2 are directed to appear before the learned
Mediator on 20.08.2026. It is expected that the learned Mediator
so appointed shall conclude the mediation process within a period
of three months from the date of first appearance of the parties and
file report before this Court by the next appointed date.
6. This Court further directs the petitioner to pay a sum
of Rs. 5,000/- to the Opposite Party No. 2 on the first day of her
appearance before the learned Mediator for maintaining herself
and further for ensuring her appearance for the mediation process
and, in failure, the interim protection so granted to the petitioner
may not be available to him.
7. Post this case 20.11.2026.
8. In the meantime, no coercive steps shall be taken
against the petitioner in connection with Vaishali Mahila Case No.
31 of 2025.
