1. Heard Mr. F.L. Dkhar, learned counsel for the applicant, who has
submitted that the applicant has preferred an appeal before this Court against the
impugned judgment and related order of sentence dated 26.05.2026 passed by
the Court of the learned Sessions Judge, East Jaintia Hills District, Khliehriat in
Sessions Case No. 91 of 2022, whereby, he was convicted and sentenced to
undergo imprisonment for life with fine of ₹ 10,000/- (Rupees ten thousand)
only, and in default thereof, to undergo simple imprisonment for a further period
of 1(one) month for an offence punishable under Section 302 IPC read with
Section 34 IPC. The applicant is also sentenced to undergo rigorous
imprisonment for a period of 3(three) years with fine of ₹ 5000/- (Rupees five
thousand) only, and in default of payment of fine, to undergo simple
imprisonment for a further period of 15(fifteen) days for an offence punishable
under Section 201 IPC read with Section 34 IPC.
