About the Organiser
Saveetha School of Law, part of Saveetha Institute of Medical and Technical Sciences (SIMATS) established in 2009, aims to provide quality legal education with high standards of research and training. Located near the city, SSL offers a serene environment, accredited as a Grade A++ by NAAC, recognized by the Bar Council of India, and approved by UGC.
It ranks 13th nationally and 1st in Tamil Nadu as per NIRF 2023. The school offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and Ph.D. programs with a fully digitalized curriculum utilizing flipped classes, i-books, smart boards, and uninterrupted Wi-Fi. Facilities include air-conditioned classrooms, a library, hostel, cafeteria, playground, and experienced faculty.
About Cine Lex Critica
Cine Lex Critica is the third edition of a national movie legal review competition that challenges law students to critique films using legal reasoning. Participants analyze and review a film from a legal perspective, examining justice portrayal, ethical dilemmas, and the representation or omission of law within the narrative.
The competition encourages bold yet responsible critiques grounded in reasoned argument rather than reckless expression. This unique platform offers a perfect blend for movie enthusiasts with a legal mindset to express their insights through film criticism infused with legal analysis.
