About the Opportunity
Meesho is seeking a sharp, business-minded legal professional for the role of Manager – Legal at their Bangalore office. This role is critical to supporting the company’s growth by shaping key transactions, driving compliance, and advising on legal risks across business initiatives.
Responsibilities

Own and manage the end-to-end contracting lifecycle, including drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and closing agreements aligned with business goals.

Lead drafting and negotiation of commercial agreements such as vendor, distribution, licensing, SaaS/technology, and strategic partnerships.

Provide proactive legal advice on new business initiatives, product launches, and strategic projects to identify and mitigate legal risks.

Advise on corporate governance, regulatory, and compliance matters under relevant laws like Companies Act, FEMA, SEBI regulations.

Support corporate transactions including M&A, joint ventures, investments, and restructurings.

Partner with the People (HR) team on employment matters, drafting agreements, and implementing internal policies.

Collaborate with business teams to anticipate legal risks and create pragmatic solutions.

Manage engagement with external counsel for specialized legal matters.

Monitor regulatory developments and recommend policy enhancements.

Drive improvements in contract management and risk management processes.
Eligibility
-
Qualified LLB degree.
-
5-7 years of post-qualification experience.

Experience in reputed law firms and/or in-house roles with corporate advisory, transactions, and compliance exposure.

Experience handling cross-border contracts and complex commercial negotiations.

Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
