    1. Heard Mr. K.S. Kharshiing, learned counsel for the petitioner, who

    has submitted that this application under Section 483 BNSS has been filed on

    behalf of her son, Shri. Bannangkiew Khongsdam, who is an accused, who

    was arrested on 26.06.2026 on the allegations that he is in a love relationship

    with a girl who is below the age of 18 years. As a result of the said relationship,

    the couple indulged in sexual intercourse, whereupon, the minor girl got

    pregnant, and in due course, was referred to a doctor for her medical

    examination. The doctor on learning that the girl is still a minor, has

    accordingly reported the matter to the police, wherein, the report was treated

    as an FIR, and a criminal case was registered as Pynursla P.S. Case No. 49 (6)

    2026 under Section 5(j)(ii)/6 of the POCSO Act.
