This is an appeal against the impugned judgment dated
13.10.2025 and related order of sentence dated 16.10.2025 passed by the
Court of the learned Special Judge (POCSO), West Jaintia Hills District,
Jowai in Special (POCSO) Case No. 6 of 2016, whereby, he was convicted
and sentenced to undergo imprisonment for a period of 12(twelve) years with
fine of ₹ 10,000/- (Rupees ten thousand) only, and in default thereof, to
undergo another 6(six) months imprisonment for an offence punishable under
Section 4 of the POCSO Act.
Ms. N.M. Kharshemlang, learned Legal Aid Counsel appearing
for the appellant has submitted that there are good grounds for preferring this
appeal and the same may be admitted.
