About the Competition and its Theme
We are pleased to announce that the 8th Edition of the TNNLU National Antitrust Moot Court Competition, 2026 is scheduled to take place in a hybrid format on 3rd and 4th April, 2026 (Online) and 18th April, 2026 (Offline).
The 8th edition focuses on the Interface between Antitrust Law and its Regulation of Intellectual Outputs produced by Dominant Businesses using Generative Artificial Intelligence (GAI) technologies. The Moot Proposition further explores the Constitutional Implications of Imposing Dual Competition Laws (a regular ex-post regime for traditional markets and a specialized ex-ante framework for digital markets) in a Developing Economy.
Eligibility
Law students enrolled in a full-time three-year LL.B. program or five-year integrated LL.B. (Hons.) programs from any institution recognized by the Bar Council of India.
Any number of teams may participate from an institution. Cross – Institutional teams are permitted. However, only 24 teams shall be selected to continue onto the Oral rounds based on the evaluation of the Memorandums.

- Release of Clarifications: 4th March, 2026.
- Memorial Submission: 23rd March, 2026.
- Declaration of results of Memorial Elimination : 30th March, 2026.
- Researchers’ Test: 3rd April, 2026 (Online)
- Preliminary Rounds: 4th April, 2026 (Online).
- Advanced Rounds: 18th April, 2026 (Offline).
