About the Organisation
IDIA (Increasing Diversity by Increasing Access to Legal Education) is a nationwide initiative working to empower underprivileged and marginalized communities by enabling access to premier legal education. Founded by late Prof. (Dr.) Shamnad Basheer, IDIA focuses on creating exceptional lawyers and community leaders.
The IDIA Bihar Chapter, run by students of Chanakya National Law University, identifies and trains underprivileged students for law entrance exams and supports them through scholarships and mentorship.
About the Event
The 4th National PIL Drafting & Pleading Competition, 2026 is the flagship annual fundraising event of the IDIA Bihar Chapter. Participants are required to draft a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) to be filed before the Supreme Court of India on any contemporary issue.

Eligibility
- Students pursuing 3-year LL.B. or 5-year integrated law course
- From any recognised university/college in India
- Individual or team of two
- No cap on entries per institution
- Cross-college teams allowed
