About the Organiser
The 1st National Moot Court Competition, 2026 is being organised by the School of Law, Central University of Haryana, under the aegis of its Moot Court Committee. The competition is being conducted under the guidance of the Dean, Prof. Pardeep Singh and the faculty members of the School of Law, and in partnership with SCC Online as the Knowledge Partner, and SCC Times as the Media Partner.
About the Event
The CUH First National Moot Court Competition, 2026, is a criminal law–focused moot designed to simulate high-intensity appellate advocacy.
The competition, scheduled to be conducted on 28th and 29th March, 2026, emphasises precision in legal reasoning, strategic argumentation, and effective courtroom presence through memorial drafting and in-person oral rounds. The competition shall consist of four rounds: preliminary rounds, quarter finals, semi-finals, and the finals.
Eligibility
The competition is open to students enrolled in a three-year LL.B. programme or a five-year integrated LL.B. programme at any recognised law college or university.
Each institution may nominate only one team for participation. A team must consist of three members, comprising two speakers and one researcher. Participation by students from different institutions in a single team is not permitted.
Location & Mode
The competition shall be conducted in offline mode at the School of Law, Central University of Haryana, located at Mahendragarh, Haryana.

- Opening of Registration – 19th February
- Last date of registration – 14th March
- Last date for seeking clarification – 16th March
- Release of Clarification – 18th March
- Submission of soft copies – 21st March
- Submission of hard copies – 24th March
- Inaugural, Prelim, Quarter Finals – 28th March
- Semi-Finals, Finals – 29th March
Fee
The registration fee for the competition is INR ₹3000 for teams without accommodation and an additional ₹1000 per team with accommodation.
Prizes
The prizes are as follows:
- Winners (Best Team): ₹30,000 + SCC Online Subscription (1 Year) + Winner’s Trophy Certificate of Merit
- Runner-Up: ₹20,000 + SCC Online Subscription (1 Year) + Runner-Up Trophy + Certificate of Merit
- Second Runner-Up: ₹10,000 + Second Runner-Up Trophy + Certificate of Merit
- Best Speaker: ₹5,000 + Best Speaker Trophy + Certificate of Merit
- Best Researcher: ₹5,000 + Best Researcher Trophy + Certificate of Merit
- Best Memorial: ₹5,000 + Best Memorial Trophy + Certificate of Merit
- Every participant shall also receive a Certificate of Participation, and a one-month SCC Online subscription.
