1st CCI-AUB National Moot Court Competition, 2026 [March 30 – 31, 2026; Cash Prizes of Rs. 1 Lakh]: Register by Mar. 14!


Registrations are invited for the 1st CCI–AUB National Moot Court Competition, 2026 on Competition Law, to be organised by Amity Law School, Amity University, Bengaluru, in association with the Competition Commission of India (CCI). Law students from across the country are invited to participate in this premier national moot court competition focusing on contemporary issues in competition and antitrust law.

ABOUT THE ORGANISATION

The 1st CCI–AUB National Moot Court Competition, 2026 marks the inaugural edition of a flagship academic initiative by Amity Law School, Amity University, Bengaluru, with the support and association of the Competition Commission of India (CCI). The Competition is envisioned as a high-standard national forum for advancing research, advocacy, and critical thinking in the domain of competition law, particularly in the context of digital markets and regulatory enforcement.

Amity University, Bengaluru, part of the globally recognised Amity Education Group, is committed to excellence in higher education, interdisciplinary research, and professional skill development. Amity Law School, Bengaluru, seeks to bridge doctrinal learning with practical legal engagement through national-level academic initiatives, moots, and policy-oriented discourse.

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

The Competition aims to provide law students with an opportunity to engage deeply with complex antitrust litigation, reflecting real-world proceedings before the Competition Commission of India and appellate forums. The moot proposition is designed to challenge participants on legal reasoning, economic analysis, and regulatory interpretation, making it a rigorous and enriching experience for aspiring competition law practitioners and scholars.

THEME

Competition Law and Antitrust Regulation

ELIGIBILITY

The Competition is open to students currently enrolled in recognised three-year or five-year LL.B. programmes.

  • Each eligible institution may nominate up to two (2) teams to participate in the Competition.
  • Each team shall consist of a maximum of three law students.
  • Cross-institutional teams are permitted.
  • Participation is independent of institutional identity, subject to compliance with the Competition Rules.

REGISTRATION FEE

₹6,500/- per team of 3 Members/ 2 Members

*The accommodation for participating teams shall be complimentary for 30th and 31st March 2026. No separate charges shall be levied for these two days. Any request for accommodation prior to or subsequent to the aforementioned dates shall be subject to availability and shall attract additional charges as per the applicable rates.

*The registration fee shall remain the same irrespective of whether the team comprises two or three members.

AWARDS

The following awards shall be conferred at the conclusion of the Competition:

  • Winning Team: Cash Prize of ₹50,000/- + Trophy + Merit Certificate + Internship Opportunity at Shivadass & Shivadass Law Chambers, Bengaluru
  • Runners-Up Team: Cash Prize of ₹25,000/- + Trophy + Merit Certificate + Internship Opportunity at Shivadass & Shivadass Law Chambers, Bengaluru
  • Best Speaker Male: Cash Prize of ₹5,000/- + Trophy + Merit Certificate
  • Best Speaker Female: Cash Prize of ₹5,000/- + Trophy + Merit Certificate
  • Best Memorandum (A): Cash Prize of ₹5,000/- + Trophy + Merit Certificate
  • Best Memorandum (R): Cash Prize of ₹5,000/- + Trophy + Merit Certificate
  • Best Researcher: Cash Prize of ₹5,000/- + Trophy + Merit Certificate

All participating teams shall receive a Certificate of Participation, and teams qualifying for advanced stages shall receive Certificates of Merit, in accordance with their performance.

  8. Oral Rounds on Campus-  30 & 31, 2026

REGISTRATION PROCESS

Teams consisting of two speakers or two speakers and one researcher may register by completing the official Registration Form, which shall be circulated separately.
