A total of 119 complaints were settled at the ‘Karuthalum Kaithangum’ taluk level adalat held in Kochi on Saturday (December 21). As many as 152 complaints were received, with 65 submitted on the day of the adalat.
The adalat was presided over by Industries Minister P. Rajeeve and Agriculture Minister P. Prasad, who personally listened to the grievances before taking necessary action to address them. District Collector N. S. K. Umesh, Sub Collector K. Meera, District Development Commissioner S. Aswathi, and other senior officials were also present to oversee the proceedings.
While 119 complaints were successfully settled on the spot, orders were issued for the remaining cases, and the relevant departments were tasked with their resolution. The complaints covered a wide range of issues, including house number allocations, property registry transfers, ration cards for priority families, and land survey concerns.
A total of 33 complainants were unable to attend in person, but all those present were able to meet the ministers face-to-face to address their concerns.
K. N. Unnikrishnan, MLA, Additional District Magistrate Vinod Raj, Deputy Collectors Rachel Varghese and K. Manoj were present at the adalat.
