Taking to his Twitter handle, Akshay Kumar recently posted the following:

“Salute and gratitude to the #PulwamaAttack bravehearts. We will always be indebted to the armed forces.”

In this episode, we will explore how terrorism in India began. The history of terrorism in India can be traced way back to 1947 when Indian got its freedom. The seed of terrorism was sown when India and Pakistan was partitioned on the basis of religion. The world watched with horror as one of the most devastating ethnic riots took place in the sub-continent.

An article published on Vision of Humanity mentions the following:

“Following the partition, after a brief period of neutrality, the then Maharaja of Jammu and Kashmir (J&K), Hari Singh formally acceded to India; however, this act of accession has not, and continues not to be recognised by Pakistan which lays claims to the Muslim majority region.

This territorial dispute lies at the core of the long standing conflict between the two nations with both nations each vehemently rejecting the other’s claims.”

“The primary causes of terrorism and insurgency in India are based on political, religious, ethnic, ideological, identity driven, linguistic or socio-economic grievances,” the article further states.
