    8-yr-old boy suffers injuries to face and genitals after stay dog attack in Kalyan

    Kalyan: After the fatal attack on a woman by four stray dogs in Titwala, a new incident of a dog attack has occurred in Kalyan. A stray dog attacked an 8-year-old child, injuring him by biting his genitals and face.
    The injured boy, identified as Arthav Shrinivas, is a resident of the Beturkar Pada area in Kalyan West. On Saturday, Arthav was returning home from classes when a dog attacked him, biting on his private parts and face until passersby made the dog run away.
    Arthav was admitted to a KDMC-run Rukaminibai Hospital in Kalyan, from where he was discharged on Sunday.
    Arthav’s father, Pappu Shrinivas, said that such an incident should not happen to any other child. He emphasised that the KDMC administration needs to control the dog menace by ensuring proper sterilisation.
    In KDMC’s jurisdiction, this is the second such dog attack incident in the last three days. In the early hours of Friday, a woman was injured in an attack by four stray dogs near Regency Complex, Titwala. The dogs dragged the woman around 50 metres and bit her multiple times.
