Arjun Tendulkar, son of the little master, made his IPL debut this season. Watching his son play for the first time, Sachin mentioned how overjoyed he was. Although he was anxious, his joy was unparalleled as he watched his son for Mumbai Indians against the Kolkata Knight Riders.
Sachin played for Mumbai Indian since the inception of IPL in 2008 and sixteen years later, it is Arjun’s turn.
In a video released on IPL’s Twitter handle, the master blaster said, “It is a different feeling because 2008 was the first season for me and 16 years down the line, he is playing for the same team, not bad.”
“This was a new experience for me. Till now, I have not actually gone and watched him play. I just wanted him to have that freedom to go out and express himself whatever he wanted to do. And today also I sat in the dressing room because I didn’t want him to let him move away from his plans and start looking at the mega screen here and suddenly realised that I was watching there. I was inside,” he said.
Arjun received his debut cap from Rohit Sharma and bowled two overs.
“It was a great moment, special to play for them I have supported since 2008, and it was very nice to get the cap from MI and the Indian team,” said Arjun.
