What a year actress Rashmika Mandanna is having, last December, she was part of Animal which went on to collect more than Rs 500 crore at the box office, and this December, Pushpa 2- The Rule has already crossed Rs 700 crore. While people can’t over Allu Arjun’s performance in the film, Rashmika got her own moment in the film wherein she got massive applause from the audience.
The famous Jathara scene in the film also had a huge monologue by the actress where she spoke out in support of her on-screen husband Pushpa Raj played by Allu Arjun. Talking about the fan reaction, in an exclusive interview with ETimes she said , “ The first time I saw the scene play out, it was the premiere show with Allu Arjun sir by my side. When I started the dialogue, everyone went quiet and in the end, when I heard people whistle and clap, I was like did this actually happen because in Animal also I had this monologue? And because of all the trolling for me which came with the trailer, I went into the space of, “I thought I gave a good performance, but isn’t it really, so I didn’t want to be in that bubble”. Though when the film was released, people were like, that was the best scene that you did, but that moment was gone, it had passed. But in Pushpa, when I heard the applause , I had tears in my eyes, I was like this is what it feels . Thanks to God and Sukumar Sir for giving me this opportunity to feel this.”

“It’s not very often that an actress get whistles for her performance and when it came, I used to keep saying, all the hard work is one day going to be worth it, and it was that moment, where it was all worth it,” she added.
Rashmika also revealed that for this particular scene she took help from her dear friend Vijay Deverakonda . She said , “ When I got the scene, I didn’t know what to do or how to go about it, so I spoke to Vijay. That’s the only scene I spoke to him about, saying I don’t know where to start, and he gave me a perspective, which was quite interesting, (9:57) and, of course, what happened on set was all Sukumar sir and Allu Arjun sir, but, he’s been a constant help, and I’m really grateful.”
