Actor and host Rannvijay Singha has applauded Rhea Chakraborty’s decision to return to the limelight as a gang leader on Roadies, calling it a well-deserved second chance.
Speaking to News18 Showsha, Rannvijay reflected on Rhea’s resilience following the turmoil she faced after the tragic death of her partner, Sushant Singh Rajput, in June 2020. Rhea, who was subjected to intense public scrutiny and legal battles after Sushant’s demise, spent 28 days in jail and endured widespread online hate. Despite the challenges, her return to the spotlight on Roadies in 2023 marked a significant milestone in her journey.
Rannvijay highlighted how Rhea’s experience resonates with many. “So many people will relate to her. She lost someone she loved and was judged unfairly for it. Can you imagine going through that?” he said.
He further praised Rhea’s strength and evolution, stating, “If you go through such a storm, you become someone who can take on any obstacle. On Roadies, it’s not about how popular you are but about who you are as a person. Rhea brings her life experiences and strength to the table, inspiring others to overcome their struggles.”
Rannvijay also acknowledged the emotional toll Rhea endured and admired her courage to return to work. “Her being on Roadies gives people power. She’s not playing a character; she’s being herself. Her reactions stem from her life journey,” he added.
Concluding his thoughts, Rannvijay expressed happiness for Rhea’s comeback, noting her gratitude for the opportunity to be herself and move forward.
