MUMBAI: A fire broke out in an LBH coach during routine maintenance at Western Railway’s Lower Parel Workshop on Wednesday evening.
The incident occurred around 6.45 pm, prompting an immediate response from the fire brigade, which swiftly brought the blaze under control.
No injuries were reported, and the fire was confined to a single coach, leaving other coaches unaffected. Western Railway officials confirmed that the area is a non-passenger zone, and the incident did not impact train operations.
An investigation has been ordered to determine the cause of the fire, and corrective measures will be taken, according to officials.
