The plaintiff has filed this suit against the defendants

for declaration to declare that he changed his name from

O.S.No.5615/2024

“Likhith H.G.” to “Kaartheek Raj H.G.” and mandatory

injunction directing the defendants to make corrections in

the official records by deleting his name “Likhith H.G.” and

to enter his name as “Kaartheek Raj H.G.” and issue the

certificates.

2. The brief facts of the case of the plaintiff are that he

studied Engineering Degree from Visvesvaraya Technology

University, Belagavi from M.S.Engineering College,

Bengaluru presently he is pursuing additional course of

‘Embedded Systems Course’ at Victor India Institution,

Jayanagar, Bengaluru. He was named as “Likhith H.G.”.

Therefore, in all his educational and other records, his

name is entered as Likhith H.G. The plaintiff and his family

members are strong believers of Numerology and Astrology.

With the said belief, the plaintiff has voluntarily changed

his name from “Likhith H.G.” to Kaartheek Raj H.G.”. There

is no threat, coercion or undue influence to make the

change of his name. When the plaintiff approached the

defendants requesting to make necessary correction of the

O.S.No.5615/2024

name of the plaintiff in all the official records maintained by

them, they have orally advised the plaintiff to approached

the competent Court and to get necessary order. Hence, the

plaintiff has filed the present the suit.
