India’s security industry gathers momentum at IFSEC India 2024

India’s security industry is undergoing a rapid transformation, driven by technological innovation and rising demand for advanced solutions. IFSEC India 2024, held from December 12–14 in Delhi, featured over 300 security brands showcasing innovations in video surveillance, biometrics, AI-powered technologies, and integrated systems.
The event highlighted key trends such as AI-driven facial recognition, automated monitoring, and data analytics. Experts noted increasing demand for smart security applications in homes, vehicles, and urban infrastructure. India’s electronic security market is projected to grow from $2.56 billion in 2024 to $7.36 billion by 2029, with a CAGR of 23.57%.
Yogesh Mudras, managing director of Informa Markets in India, emphasized the impact of AIoT technologies in revolutionizing surveillance solutions. He noted the Indian CCTV market, valued at $3.98 billion in 2024, is expected to reach $10.17 billion by 2029 with a CAGR of 20.6%.
Pankaj Jain, senior group director at Informa Markets, highlighted the growth of video surveillance and access control systems, particularly through smart city initiatives. Strategic collaborations, including India-UK partnerships in cybersecurity and quantum technologies, were also discussed to address emerging security challenges.
