The India-UN Capacity Building Initiative aims to cooperate extensively with the partner countries and share the developmental achievements of India over the recent years. India has always been at the forefront of combining and collaborating to address Global South issues and unite for development changes and challenges.

“India will be partner, contributor, collaborator on how to address development challenges”, claimed External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar at the UNGA. He also added that “Our experiences and our achievements we place before you in a spirit of sharing”.

The intention is to share and contribute to the growth of the countries in the global south, which are still developing or relatively less developed.  The minister also emphasized that India is exercising in every possible way to address challenges and the devastating impacts that the global south has experienced following the COVID-19 pandemic.

“The exchange of Letter of Intent between UN-India and Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, in the presence of External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar, in New York.” shared in X on the 24th of September.                                                                                                                                                          “…partner to leverage India’s Technical and Economic Cooperation platform to share India’s development experiences and best practices across the world.”
As a part of the initiative, the partnership will operationalize the platform of India’s Technical and Economic Cooperation (ITEC) to share India’s experiences, progress, and development. The aim is to contribute best practices and create training programs to help transform and build other partner nations while working towards achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

“The colleagues who spoke on the presidency of India’s G20 encapsulated the general feeling of the South, in terms of India’s leadership. I think there has been a significant leadership role and people have appreciated the leadership, which is very much needed in the current geological framework.” Fiamē Naomi Mataʻafa, PM of Samoa at the UNGA.

The G20 presidency was remarkable, and the final summit in New Delhi was a historic milestone. The UNGA is also marking a new beginning for the development of the global south. India is working tirelessly to promote human and economic welfare, which the world recognizes and cooperates with. International personalities at the UN General Assembly share similar views and appreciate India’s commendable move. India has the free will to share its achievements with other partner nations for the welfare of the entire globe. Therefore, India’s intention is apparent to the world, as it believes in the idea of One World, One Family- Vasudhaivya Kutumbakam.
