Ahmedabad: The two-day conclave, ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam ki Oar’, organised under the aegis of Jain Acharya Yugbhushansuri at Gitarth Ganga Upashray, concluded on Sunday with discussions on geopolitics, global trust, multipolarity and the role of India.
Acharya, in his speech, said, “Bharat of today, one of the most reliable and trustworthy countries, will have to take responsibility to solve the current complex turmoil with the support of the global community.”
Alok Bansal, director of India Foundation, said that robust rules and regulations are required for a successful multipolar world and to maintain global stability. He stressed ‘Michchami Dukkadam’ or seeking forgiveness as a way to build a harmonious world.
Yashwardhan Kumar Sinha, former high commissioner of the UK, said that the diplomatic ethos of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam has shaped India’s approach to foreign policy. TNN
