Economic relations

Despite the global economic downturn, the trade relations between India and Jordan have increased significantly in the past few years. One of the most fruitful sectors for both countries has been the fertilizer sector. The countries have signed a joint venture to further strengthen the sector.

Defense relations

In 2015, India, Jordan, and the USA signed an MoU for defense cooperation. The aim of the MoU is to focus on counterterrorism, cyber security, Military research, etc.

“… This MoU’s goal is to define the parameters of that collaboration and to implement it in a few acknowledged sectors of defense. According to the Ministry of External Affairs, to foster collaboration between the defense sector, cyber security, counterterrorism, military medical services, military research, and peacekeeping including training.”
