When Salman Khan worked on the 2002 film ‘Tumko Na Bhool Paayenge‘, he showcased his unwavering creative instincts and strong personality. Directed by Pankaj Parashar, the movie starred Salman alongside Dia Mirza, Inder Kumar, and Rajpal Yadav. Salman, who co-wrote the film’s script with Rumi Jaffery, was deeply involved in its creative process.
In a recent interview with Siddharth Kannan, Parashar recalled an instance when Salman changed a scene and refused to modify it further. Confident in his decision, Salman told the director, “I am Salim sahab’s son. I know this is correct.” It took three attempts for Parashar to convince Salman to alter the scene, highlighting the actor’s firm belief in his creative instincts.
Beyond his artistic contributions, Salman’s generosity stood out during the production. Parashar shared that Salman paid him three times his expected fee and gifted luxurious watches to the entire cast. In one amusing incident, when Parashar pointed out Salman’s tardiness by referencing his watch, the actor threw it away. Later, Salman gifted him a Rolex, humorously explaining the gesture.
Despite rumors about Salman’s moody personality, Parashar denied such claims. He praised Salman’s professionalism, recalling how the actor arrived early on set and collaborated enthusiastically.
Reflecting on the experience, Parashar described working with Salman as one of his most enjoyable projects, attributing the film’s success to Salman’s blend of creativity, generosity, and dedication.
