This strategic alliance between Hero MotoCorp and the HIL aims to rejuvenate one of India’s most cherished sports, expanding its reach and fostering a vibrant platform for emerging talent.
Apart from Hero, the league has three partners including Big FM (Radio Partner), Bisleri (Hydration Partner), and Apollo Hospitals (Medical Partner). Sony Sports Networks and Doordarshan are the broadcast partners while Prasar Bharati’s Waves is the streaming partner.
The tournament, set to begin on December 28, will feature eight men’s teams and, for the first time, four women’s teams. The introduction of the Women’s Hockey India League marks a historic milestone in Indian hockey, underscoring a significant step forward for the inclusion and empowerment of women in sports.

Together, we aim to make this league a true celebration of hockey as #IndiaKaGame.”The owners of the men’s franchises are, Chennai – Charles Group, Lucknow – Yadu Sports, Punjab – JSW Sports, West Bengal – Shrachi Sports, Delhi – SG Sports and Entertainment, Odisha – Vedanta, Hyderabad – Resolute Sports, and Ranchi – Navoyam Sports Ventures.The owners of the women’s franchises include Haryana – JSW Sports, West Bengal – Shrachi Sports, Delhi – SG Sports and Entertainment, and Odisha – Navoyam Sports Ventures. Two additional women’s franchises will be announced following the resolution of ongoing legal proceedings.
