‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’ which released in cinemas last Thursday, has taken the box office by storm. The film has not just done well in Telugu but even broken all the records with its Hindi version. Infact, ‘Pushpa 2‘ is doing much better in Mumbai than in the Andra/Nizam reason which is an unthinkable feat. The Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna is dominating completely at the box office and has broken all the previous records by a huge margin.
The sequel has made Rs 726.25 crore at the box office in the span of 8 days. In this number, the Telugu version of the movie has made Rs 241 crore while the Hindi version has made Rs 425 crore according to Sacnilk. The Hindi version of the movie has broken all the previous records. As it collected atleast Rs 50 crore more than ‘Pathaan’. Rocking star Yash starrer ‘KGF 2’ had made a post pandemic record of Rs 250 crore in its week 1. But the collection of ‘Pushpa 2’ has smashed records in a way that holds no comparison to any other movie now.

The huge gap between ‘Pushpa 2’ and the rest of the movies means that this benchmark will now be hard to beat and will be remembered for a long time. Meanwhile, the film continues to solely dominate at the box office and will also benefit from the upcoming holiday season. There’s Christmas holiday followed by New Year’s eve which will further give the film more space to perform as there are no other big movies releasing in the coming days.
Varun Dhawan starrer ‘Baby John’ is set to release on Christmas but it’s more likely that ‘Pushpa 2’ will still continue to have a strong hold at the box office, especially in Mumbai.
